COVID-19 has led to a surge in job openings as workers have quit their jobs in search of ones with better wages and benefits.
The rate of those quitting varies across the country with New York seeing the fewest amount of resignations. According to a WalletHub study, the Empire State has seen the fewest number of resignations in the nation when compared to all other states plus the District of Columbia.
New York’s resignation rate for last month was 1.90% and 1.91% over the past 12 months. Number one ranked Georgia saw a 4.80% resignation rate in August and a yearly rate of 3.98%.
